Call for Research Proposals: AI in Education

The Jawaharlal Institute of Technology invites faculty members, doctoral researchers, and postgraduate students to submit research proposals under the theme: 'Artificial Intelligence in Education: Systems, Ethics, and Impact.'
This initiative is part of JIT's 2026-27 strategic focus on interdisciplinary innovation at the intersection of technology and pedagogy.
Research Focus Areas
- •Adaptive learning systems and personalized education platforms
- •AI-driven student performance prediction and early intervention
- •NLP and computer vision for regional language content accessibility
- •Ethics and data privacy in AI-based learning systems
- •Use of generative AI in curriculum design and assessment
Eligibility
- •Lead applicants must be full-time faculty or enrolled in a PhD/postgraduate program at JIT.
- •Cross-departmental and interdisciplinary collaborations are encouraged.
- •External collaborators from academia or industry may be included with prior approval.
Funding & Support
- •Grants of up to 84 lakhs per proposal
- •Access to compute clusters and JIT's AI Lab
- •Mentorship from an internal review panel and guest AI researchers
- •Selected teams may be fast-tracked to national-level funding opportunities
Submission Details
- •Deadline: March 15, 2026
- •Proposal Format: PDF, max 8 pages, including abstract, objectives, methodology, timeline, and budget
- •Submit via the JIT Research Portal: research.jit.edu/submit
- •Results will be announced by April 5, 2026
